Om Nom: Run is a free-to-play endless runner starring Om Nom, the cute green monster from the Cut the Rope franchise (the first Cut the Rope game was released on iOS in 2010). Though quite honestly, I think Om Nom is already as good as it gets so I don’t personally see the need to play as anyone else. There are also a whole host of other characters to unlock along the way who have also appeared throughout the Cut the Rope universe. Wherever you go though, it all looks to be pleasantly colourful. Some levels will see you dash through busy streets whilst others may see you avoiding the traffic by darting across rooftops or taking a trip to a robot factory to see what’s going on there. There are a host of different locations to explore. Some of the boosts on offer to our squishy green heroes include rockets, jumping boots and magnets. Players will have to avoid obstacles, collect coins and power-ups that can be used to clear the way through each level. Power-ups and bonuses: jumping boots, VR glasses, a rocket, a magnet, the multiplier. Free run mode with a never ending obstacle course. Campaign mode with 120 levels in 9 locations: The City, Drain, Forest, Lair, Factory, Market, Roof, Station and Airport. Multiplayer mode in 2 options – on divided screen (up to 4 players) or together at one screen (up to 8 players). 4 types of missions within the Campaign mode – Run the Distance, Collect Tokens, Perform Tricks and Collect Letters.

Over 20 characters available to play with 3 gameplay modes: Multiplayer, Campaign, and Free Run. One Om Nom in many outfits – a rubber glove thief, icy hero, fiery flame? It’s up to you! Choose from crazy hats, capes and pants. The character runs by itself and players must use a stick or buttons to change track, jump, bend down, run around an obstacle, overcome an obstacle, or slip under an obstacle. The version for Switch is pretty much the same as the mobile game. If you can’t imagine what that is, think Temple Run or Subway Surfers. Unlike the other game though, this one was an endless runner.
